Non-profit organisation CFA South Africa serves the investment community of Southern Africa by promoting the highest standards of professional excellence and integrity.
CFA South Africa is an affiliate of CFA Institute (USA). In our mission to promote global-best-practice, CFA South Africa supports the CFA Code of Conduct & Standards of Practice and the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) programme. CFA South Africa members are principally investment and financial service professionals, academics, and regulators. CFA South Africa further seeks to be financially sustainable and the organisations core areas of focus are:
Education: By promotion of the CFA programme and by coordination of educational events.
Ethics: By education, the promotion of the highest standards of integrity, and by upholding the CFA Code of Conduct & Standards of Practice. ReferCFA Centre for Financial Market Integrity, the new research and policy center that will serve as the advocacy and standards arm of CFA Institute.
Interaction: By facilitating meetings and networking between investment professionals, regulators, companies, and the community.
Inter-Society Relations: By interacting with the CFA Institute and other CFA societies and local & international associations toward common goals and knowledge sharing.
Advocacy: By assisting in policy formulation and engaging in public policy debate.
Administration & Governance: By efficiency, financial sustainability, and diligence, and by managing effective information resources and communications channels.
